Another memorable “Free Food Friday” at Toga’s Distribution Centre

To celebrate Toga Group being successful requalifying winners of the Deloitte Best Managed Companies Awards for 2022, the third consecutive year we have been awarded Irish businesses highest achievement award, we enlisted the help of renowed chef, Eoin Garry with his new venture, the “Feed” van, to warm up staff and visitors on a wet and windy Friday in Dublin 12.

Even as Eoin and his team were setting up at around 11:30 on Friday, it was clear that drivers were starting to “linger” on site waiting for the dinner bell to ring. The smell was amazing.

Soon after midday, a steady queue formed and Eoin provided a sumptuous choice of beef, chicken or falafel options, all served with chips and a drink to the hungry workers.

The free food is open to anyone on site, including staff, warehouse workers, visiting drivers, customers – anyone on site, indeed even the lads collecting the rubbish skips on their usual Friday round couldn’t believe their luck, tucking into burgers, chips and free drinks.

The session lasted until just after 3pm and having served up over 90 hearty meals, Eoin packed away his van and left.

A great fun day and an enjoyable b it of banter to light up what was otherwise a dreary and wet end to the week.
